I had to read this book for my class on the "history of Modern War and Society". Right away I loved the book. One of my favorite lines in the book is "more books and been written about Napoleon than anyone else - except for Christ". What is it that fascinates us about this little guy?
I enjoyed the books smooth transitions and wonderful information. I didn't feel like I had to labour to read it (as I did while reading Cheese and Worms)

sounds like an interesting class - and I'm glad you liked the book. You're right - it is funny that people are so obsessed with Napoleon. I haven't read any biographies of him, but he's always struck me as being a totally bizarre kind of guy. Was he?
He was indeed. We were doing an in class discussion about him and someone labeled him as a sociopath and my teacher was eager to talk about it.
I still can't figure out what make him so perplexing.
If you have a picture that you want to remove something from, copy and paste into Paint and you can crop it from there then save it as a JPG file.
